FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I have to be a member of Trinity to enroll my child?

No. Everyone is welcome. Trinity is known for academic quality. We are a Christian school. Trinity includes daily teaching of religious beliefs and the integrating of these beliefs into everything that we teach.

What are the requirements for my child to be enrolled?

To enter the Early Childhood Program a pupil must attain the age of three (3) for the Preschool program class, or the age of four (4) years for the Pre-Kindergarten class, before September 1st, of that school year and be independently potty trained. Exceptions may be made on an individual basis.

To enter kindergarten a pupil must attain the age of five (5) years before September 1st, of that school year. Parents requesting to start children before the September 1st birthday requirement will be given consideration with consultation from the principal and teacher.

Is Trinity an accredited school?

Yes. Trinity Lutheran School is accredited by National Lutheran Schools Accreditation (NLSA) of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and also the Michigan Association of Non-Public Schools (MANS).

Trinity is administered according to the State of Michigan’s required standards of elementary education. Teaching personnel are certified by the State of Michigan. Qualified Christian teachers integrate the faith within a prescribed course of study leading to entrance into high school.

Is transportation provided?

Students who live in Monroe Public School district qualify to ride Monroe Public School buses.

Does Trinity have an athletic program?

Athletics at Trinity Lutheran School exist as part of Christian training for students in

grades four through eight. We encourage our children to be Christian’s first,

students second and athletes third. Extra-curricular sports include soccer,

volleyball, cross country, basketball and track & field.

 

Trinity participates in the Monroe Catholic Youth Organization athletic conference.

If students of Trinity wish to participate in CYO football, softball, or baseball,

they will be placed on other school teams.
